The gold MEH letters on the office wall

The extension order in the transport industry

Whom the transport-industry extension order covers, which pay components and contributions it sets and what is needed to check an employee’s rights.

Scope of the order

The firm’s original article discussed the transport-industry extension order published in 2007. A current assessment must examine the orders and agreements relevant to the employment period, the type of business and the employee’s regular role.

Which components are examined

The review may cover industry pay and supplements, pension and education-fund contribution bases, and protection of an earlier pension arrangement. A job title alone does not establish contribution rates or the arrangement’s applicability.

Documents for the review

Payslips, the employment agreement, contribution statements, employment start date and a description of vehicles and duties help compare actual payments with the applicable arrangement. Numerical figures from historical texts must be checked before calculating a monetary demand.
